Radishes are one the most beautiful vegetables I have ever seen, thanks to their reddish-purple exterior and white flesh. Except for a few thin slices in a salad or taco, I didn’t enjoy radishes until I tried them roasted. The flavour of roasted radishes is quite different from fresh, and it’s a great side dish. Roasted radishes are a great side dish to add to your dinner menu.
Radishes are available in spring so let’s enjoy this beautiful vegetable while it’s still in season!
What do ROASTED RADISHES TASTE LIKE?
Roasted radishes are milder than fresh radishes. They have a mild, slightly sweet and neutral flavour. You can think of roasted radishes as a sweeter potato with a soft, dense, smooth texture. They are mild in flavour, so you can add spices or dressings after roasting.
How to Season Roasted Various Dishes
This recipe was simple to the season with only salt, pepper and garlic powder. Parsley was also added to the garnish, but it’s not necessary for flavour. There are many other ways to season roasted radishes.
Different spices and herbs can be added to the roast. You can add rosemary, lemon, steak seasoning or dill to your roasted radishes. After roasting, you can add a dressing to your roasted radishes. You can also use a drizzle of Italian Dressing or a simple vinaigrette or Lemon Tahini dressing.
WHAT TO SERVE WITH ROASTED RADISHES
I love roasting vegetables of all kinds. They are easy to make and don’t require a recipe. Roasted radishes can be paired with almost any meal because they are neutral in flavour.
