- Prepare the pasta. You do it. We hope it is bucatini because that’s funny.
- Build your sauce. Melt butter, then toss in the asparagus for a few minutes until they are soft and brightly green. Garlic should be added until it is fragrant, then add the heavy cream and broth.
- Stir and season. Add the peas to the sauce once it has thickened a little. Cook for a few more minutes. Add lemon juice, zest, salt and pepper.
- Toss, then top! Allow everything to thicken and stick to the beautiful pasta. Get your golden crisps to rain all over this gem!
The pasta, the creamy, the crunchy, the bright green…oof! A lot is going on here.

INSTRUCTIONS
- Follow the package instructions to cook pasta until it is al dente.
- Melt butter on medium heat. Add asparagus, and cook until bright green and soft for 5 minutes. You’ll simmer it a little longer in the sauce, so it’s fine if the asparagus is still a bit firm.
- Add the garlic and saute it for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Bring to a simmer the heavy cream and broth. Add the frozen peas to the sauce once it has thickened. Add the salt, pepper, lemon zest, and lemon juice to season.
- Stir the sauce into the pasta. Please keep it on low heat for several minutes to ensure that the pasta and sauce are well combined. If necessary, let the pasta stand for a couple of minutes to allow the sauce to cling to it and thicken. Add lots of breadcrumbs and rotisserie or sauteed chicken if desired. So yum!
