Ingredients
- Two ripe mandarins (peeled, cubed).
- Four medium kiwis (peeled, sliced, or quartered).
- Strawberry slices – 1 cup
- 1 cup blueberries
- Juice 1 small lime (2 Tbsp, or 30 ml).
- 1 Tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar ( optional).
- 14 tsp Chili powder
- Sea salt, one pinch
- One ounce of white rum or silver tequila ( optional).
Instructions
- Add all the fruit to a large serving/mixing bowl.
- Mix lime juice, maple syrup, and (optional, depending upon the ripeness) in a small bowl. Pour over the fruit and gently coat.
- Add sea salt. Sprinkle on the chili powder, a little bit at a time. Gently fold/stir as you add it. I found 1/4 tsp to be just right, but you can add more or less based on your preference.
- Add more maple syrup, chili powder, or lime juice if needed. Optional: Add some tequila, white rum, or a little rum to give it a bit of a kick.
- You can serve immediately or chill the fruit for up to 2-3 days, depending on its freshness. Notes for freezing tip.
