BANG, BANG, SHRIMP PASTA

I was a little obsessed with the bang-bang sauce, so I decided to try it in pasta form. The pasta recipe was the best of the many bang-bang dishes I have tried in the last few weeks.

This is also the easiest bang-bang recipe you’ve ever seen! You can make the bang bang creamy sauce by boiling your pasta and roasting some shrimp with a bit of paprika. After that, you can combine the two for the creamiest of pasta, with a kick and tangy goodness.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 8 ounces medium Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Olive oil one tablespoon
  • Three cloves garlic, minced
  • Smoked paprika or more to taste
  • To taste, add Kosher Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper
  • Fresh parsley leaves, two tablespoons

For the SAUCE

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise*
  • 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • Two cloves garlic pressed
  • Half a lime or more to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon Sriracha (optional).
  • Red pepper flakes crushed into a pinch

Instructions

  • Set aside the mayonnaise, Thai Sweet Chili Sauce, garlic, Lime Juice, Sriracha, and Red Pepper Flakes.
  • Cook pasta in a large pot with salted boiling water according to the package directions. Drain well.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Oil baking sheets lightly or spray with nonstick spray.
  • Place the shrimp on the baking sheet. Add garlic, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. Gently toss the shrimp to combine. Place in the oven and roast until cooked, pink, and firm, approximately 6-8 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Combine pasta, shrimp, and mayonnaise in a large mixing bowl.
  • Serve immediately with garnished parsley.
